Information You Send Directly
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a sponsored search form is sent to the outside provider that operates the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. When someone contacts us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may create routine logs, such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand basic page use. Cookies or comparable technologies may also support limited analytics or advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
The limited data described here supports site operation, traffic measurement, technical troubleshooting, and content improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or construct individual visitor profiles from the site’s server logs.
External Websites and Tools
Links lead to government offices, libraries, archives, and other outside services. Each destination controls the information submitted there under its own policy. That includes sponsored-result tools, which are operated by a third party rather than Roseburg Residents Directory.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process routine technical logs for the service. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when a valid legal process requires it, not for unrelated purposes.
Data Safeguards
The site uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operating purposes described here. There are no member accounts, passwords, or user profiles maintained by this site.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove it from our contact records where possible.
Oregon Privacy Choices
Oregon has the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act. Depending on a controller’s coverage and statutory exceptions, consumer rights may include confirmation or access, correction, deletion, and opt-out choices. The Department of Consumer and Business Services consumer-privacy resource explains Oregon privacy resources and directs consumers to the Oregon DOJ universal opt-out tool. Because this site keeps very little information, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and routine logs. Use the Contact page to make that request.
Government-held public records are different. Oregon Public Records Law is ORS 192.311-192.478, while Roseburg’s City policy cites ORS 192.410-192.505. A correction or redaction request for a City, County, court, or state record must go to that record’s custodian. A broad request does not require release of exempt material or require deletion of a lawfully public historical record.
Policy Updates
Any revision will appear on this page. Continuing to use the site after a revised policy is posted means acceptance of the updated policy.
